Puntland Impounds North Korea Vessel for Discharging Cement at Sea

Puntland Government security forces have impounded a North Korea-flagged
vessel M.V. Daesan for dumping materials, including cement, near the coast
of the Puntland port city of Bossaso.
Puntland Maritime Police Force (PMPF) seized the vessel 13 nautical miles
east of Bossaso as it was discharging cement. The vessel was carrying over
5,000 metric tons of cement.
Puntland Government condemns the illegal and environmentally destructive
practice by the ship-owners and the 33-crew, led by Captain Mr. Ki Yun Chn,
Quarter Master Ki Myon Chol and Training Quarter Master Ki Jong Rok.
This case will be brought to a court of justice.
