Victim identified after shooting in Etobicoke highrise




Toronto police are investigating after a man was found with life-threatening injuries and died inside a highrise apartment in Etobicoke on Monday morning.

He was found just before 9 a.m. in the building near Islington Avenue and Dixon Road

In a tweet, police initially said the death was being treated as “suspicious.” Officers later confirmed homicide detectives had taken over the investigation.

The man has since been identified as Faysal Mohamed Hees, 26, and police said he lived in the building.
